If you need that extra bit of peace and quiet to work in, please do come in and access all the Library resources, computers, study spaces as well as the Welcome Desk on the Ground Floor.
The opening times between Christmas and New Year are;
Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th December 2011
9.00am to 5.00pm
Full access to computers in the LINC building will be available, by swipe access, throughout the Christmas and New Year break.

The University Library at Ormskirk will be open from 9am on Welcome Sunday 18th September (closing as normal at 6pm).
Come in and have a look at our refurbishment. We have all new pc’s with Windows 7, new study spaces and furniture, as well as a brand new Silent Room, for those who want to study in silence.
Term Time opening resumes, for both the Library and the LINC, from next Monday, 19th September. After last years very successful late opening, the Library will once again open until Midnight Monday to Thursday. Check out our website for a complete list of opening hours for all our sites
The University Library at Ormskirk has run 2 phases of Late Night Library this academic year. We opened until midnight Mondays to Thursdays from 22nd November to the 16th December and again from the 7th March to the 14th April.
The late nights have proved popular, with 1187 using the Library, between 9pm and midnight, in the 4 week pre Christmas phase and 1723 in the 6 week run up to Easter.
For those of you who like statistics, the top footfall figure was the same for both phases. 127 people came in on both the 15th December and the 6th April.
We have received both written and verbal feedback which has been overwhelmingly positive. We had some great comments left on the postcards available on the helpdesks, ranging from ‘We need it’ to ‘I am writing this at 11.45pm and I love it’ and our particular favourite I love the library…it is the best!
We also had many requests for us to offer late nights during the exam weeks in May. As a result of this Late Night Library will run again from the 9th May to the 19th May, Monday to Thursday.
All the statistics we recorded and feedback we received will inform the decision about Late Night Library for the academic year 2011-2012.
The opening hours for the University Library at Ormskirk will only change slightly during the Easter Vacation.
We will have our standard term time opening hours apart from
Good Friday 22nd April to Tuesday 26th April 2011, when we will be closed.
We are offering additional opening for both the Royal Wedding Bank Holiday 29th April , 8.45am – 5pm, (when we will, of course, be showing The Wedding on the Plasma TV if you want a five minute break from your studies!) and the following May Day Bank Holiday 2nd May, 8.45-7pm.
The LIRC at Aintree will be open on Tuesday 26th April 8.30am – 8.00pm
What do you think of Late Night Library? Good Idea……?
We know lots of you are making use of it but we’d really like some feedback. If you’ve got time please fill in one of the postcards dotted about in the Library and post it in one of the boxes on the Help Desks or e-mail us at email@example.com
