Collection of Health and Education Journals on Trial
We have got a trial of the complete collection of Journals from Pier Professional. Pier Professional publishes journals in healthcare and social care and allied fields. There are 23 journals in the collection. We already subscribe to 6 titles – so this package would give us online access to the other 17 titles. New titles include Journal of Children’s Services, Mental Health and Social Inclusion, Journal of Integrated Care and Journal of Assistive Technologies. The entire collection can be searched as a full text database or one can browse each journal separately. The journals can be be accessed via the library catalogue at Pier Professional.
The trial will expire on 13th December so do please feedback your views to Maureen Richardson.

Late Night Library
Just a reminder that from next Monday, 22nd November, for 4 weeks the University Library at Ormskirk is running an extended hour’s pilot, closing at Midnight Monday to Thursday.
After 9pm you will be able to access PCs, books and resources, printing facilities, as well as all the self service facilities including self issue and return. However – please note that the help desks will not be open.

University Library Extended hours opening
The University Library at Ormskirk is running a midnight opening pilot from 22nd November – 16th December 2010 (Monday to Thursdays only) and we are looking for students to work 8.45pm- Midnight on these nights.
