• Help and support via our new on-line videos

We are aware we have got lots of new CPD students who have started modules this term, many of you who may be working off campus or via distance learning.  To support our students who may not be able to get on campus or contact us during our opening hours, we have produced a number of videos to help with getting started.

We have quite a wide collection of support videos but key to those first few weeks are:

    • Information about your password
    • Accessing your reading list
    • Introduction to Blackboard
    • Requesting and renewing your books
    • Using electronic resources

To see the complete list of videos access via our web pages

We have also got lots of FAQS on our web pages

Please give us your feedback if you have other ideas for videos we could produce to help students working off campus

  • Live Chat!

Learning Services is now offering another way to support our online users through Live Chat.

Live Chat enables us to provide you with instant real-time help and support no matter where you are.

    So, how does it work?

To access this service go to our webpage or to the library catalogue and click on the Live Chat icon. A box will pop up where you can type and enter your question. A member of library staff will instantly pick up your message and will type and send a response. You can then chat sending messages back and forth until the query is resolved. You can ask anything about our services and resources! It is a great alternative to ringing the ‘Telephone Support’ line or e-mailing.

This service is available Monday to Friday 10am – 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12noon – 4pm. For more information visit http://www.edgehill.ac.uk/ls/livechat
