Learning Edge Available: System Upgrade Complete
The Learning Edge system upgrade to Blackboard Learn Service Pack 7 has been completed ahead of schedule and the system is now available.
Blackboard Managed Hosting and ICM have worked with the Edge Hill University Learning Technology Development team to support this upgrade. We have conducted thorough system testing and are happy with the success of the upgrade but encourage you to email [email protected] if you notice any problems.

Just ASK!
The new ‘Ask’ desk on the first floor of the library has been in operation now for 3 months and we are beginning to evaluate how it is working. The concept is based on providing students with easier access to staff who can answer a wide range of questions but also to be able to signpost them to immediate specialist support. Staff are available to provide academic skills, IT and library resources support as well as support from the SpLD team. In addition, this year we have a team of student assistants who are on hand to provide peer support at times of peak demand. We will be evaluating how it is working by gathering a range of feedback from students in January and February, as well as collating statistics on usage. University Library additional Christmas Opening 2011
For the fourth year running, and in response to customer feedback, the University Library at Ormskirk will once again be open for two extra days during the Christmas break. If you need that extra bit of peace and quiet to work in, please do come in and access all the Library resources, computers, study spaces as well as the Welcome Desk on the Ground Floor.
The opening times between Christmas and New Year are;
Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th December 2011
9.00am to 5.00pm
Full access to computers in the LINC building will be available, by swipe access, throughout the Christmas and New Year break.
