Fully utilise the library catalogue to find relevant academic information and explore finding journal articles. This will all be covered along with the new Discovery Tool.

  • AccessApps – a powerhouse in your pocket

    They say that good things come in small packages and that’s certainly the case with AccessApps, and furthermore it is free!

    AccessApps consists of over 60 open source and freeware Windows applications which run from a USB stick. If you don’t have the AccessApps USB stick don’t worry, you can still take advantage of the freeware available by downloading it to your own USB stick.

    AccessApps provides a range of solutions to support writing, reading and planning as well as sensory, cognitive and physical difficulties.

    Step-by-step guides and video screencast tutorials explain how to download and install AccessApps to a USB stick with guides in alternative formats, as well as tutorials to get you started using the apps.

  • Steps to Success: Reading Lists 17th January 12-1 pm

    You can still book on to the Steps to Success session on getting the most out of your reading list. This will take place tomorrow, Tuesday 17th January between 12 and 1 pm on the first floor of the University Library. This session will enable you to find your reading list using the Library Catalogue, how to use the Library Catalogue to find alternative texts and more.
