Learning Services launched its semester 1 timetable of skills session in October and within 2 weeks the whole of our programme (including the Saturday School in November) was fully booked.

The programme ‘Steps to Academic Success’ is a range of academic skills workshops, providing students with opportunities to help them succeed at university. Due to the success of our original dates we have added some extra dates in November.

Tuesday 6th November 4:00 – 5:00 pm Developing your academic writing

Monday 12th November 4:00 – 5:00 pm Critical analysis and essay planning

Friday 16th November 12:00 – 1:00 pm Right referencing

Monday 3rd December 4:00- 5:00 pm Developing your academic writing

If you want to attend, please book online ASAP

We expect these sessions will also be very popular, so if you find they are fully booked, please speak to a member of staff at the Ask desk, 1st Floor University Library who can help you get the support you need.  We have lots of guides online which you might find useful and you can use these as your starting point.
