All the material in our University libraries has been suggested and recommended by the academic staff in liaison with staff from our Academic Services and Information Resources teams and –a very successful collaborative effort!

Since the start of the academic year, 2011/2012 up to today, we can report that, we have placed, 4681 orders with our suppliers.  We have received and added to stock within the service 7,814 new items.

Faculty of Health:                       1388  additional items

Faculty of Education:                 3272   additional items

Faculty of Arts and Science:      2643   additional items

Cross Faculty                                511   additional items             

We are ordering and receiving stock all the time and there are a further 1,395 orders already with the suppliers which will realise a further 3012 items expected to come in any day soon, ready for Semester 2 modules.

The remaining book fund will have orders placed over the next few months as further reading lists are submitted by the academic staff.

We encourage all our students to let us know if there are reading lists which they can’t find in the library catalogue or items not in stock which have been recommended by tutors. Students can contact us at [email protected]
