This term has seen a host of developments around mobile technology and using resources on the go. We have promoted over the past few months a number of apps which aid teaching and learning – Edge Hill Central app, Blackboard Mobile Learn, the library catalogue app – Library Anywhere and we can now add to this, an exciting development from Ebsco which is a mobile version of Discover More.
Click on any link to ‘Discover More’ (we have links in our Learning Services website or on the home page of our library catalogue) from a smartphone and you will be automatically redirected to the mobile version.
Discover More is a quick and easy search tool that allows you to search across most of our resources from one place. You can search across 80 per cent of the databases, eBooks, and library catalogue, using a simple search box, giving you access to thousands of journal articles, books and resources.
So now you can do all this while on the go!
You can chose to search just the library catalogue or just full text articles (online)
Enter your search
Then scroll down through the search results
Articles flagged as full text can then be read online
Tablets will still go to the standard version of Discover More when you click the link but publishers are working on making it available for tablets.
