‘Digital Practitioner Series – What’s New With Service Pack 8’ – Thursday 6th September 2012
The next session in the Digital Practitioner staff development series will look at the recent update to Blackboard – Service Pack 8.
Service Pack 8 was applied in July and adds improvements such as a new Text Editor, full support for Google’s Chrome browser, and a clearer interface. In this session we will show you the updates so that you are aware of how to make the most of the new possibilities.
The session will run on Thursday 6th September between 12 and 1pm, in the LINC Development Room (2nd floor of the LINC building) and you can book by going to the session’s page on the staff development pages.

Bristol Online Surveys: System Maintenance – 29th August 2012
On Wednesday 29th August 2012, between 20:00 and midnight the University of Bristol will be carrying out essential maintenance work on its IT services.
During this period, BOS will be offline and unavailable. This will affect both respondent and administrative access.
Please note that the reduced performance of BOS is also anticipated on Thursday, 30th August, 2012.

Learning Edge: Blackboard 9.1 System Maintenance
Learning Edge, Blackboard Learn 9.1 will be unavailable between 01:00 and 03:00 on the 26th of August while Blackboard Managed Hosting carry out essential maintenance. This proactive maintenance will ensure database performance and stability.
