Blog submission guidelines
| Consider the following | Guidelines |

| Content Focus | Submissions should relate to Early Years education and Care, with topics such as play, pedagogy, policy, practice, and professional development. |
| Word Count | Contributions should be between 750 and 1000 words, including references. |
| Tone and style | Encouraged tone: conversational and reflective. Make it accessible to a wide audience (EYE practitioners, researchers, families and children too) |
| Evidence-based | Submissions should be informed by research evidence and/or reflective practice. |
| Inclusivity | Use respectful and inclusive language that creates a welcoming environment for all. The content should promote understanding and inclusivity. |
| Originality | Submissions should be original and not published elsewhere. |
| How to submit | Send your blog post to [email protected] |
| Required information | A short biography (75 words), a headshot photo in JPG/PNG format, and any relevant social media handles. |
| File naming | Include the author’s name(s) in the file name. |
| Review | All submissions will be reviewed by the editorial team. |
| Feedback | Contributors may receive feedback and are encouraged to engage in discussions to refine their posts. |
| Publication | Accepted posts will be published on the Early Years Blog and a link to the post will be shared on Linked in. |
| Relevance of images | When images are included, they should relate to the content of the blog post and be referenced accordingly. |
| Permissions for images | Make sure you have permission to use the image and that everyone in it has given their consent. |
| Image format | Submit images as separate JPG or PNG files at a minimum resolution of 72 dpi. |
