Practice your timings

Make sure you are prepared to deliver your paper / workshop / symposium to time.

Chairs have been asked to make sure that presenters finish promptly.

  • Individual paper (20 min presentation, 10 min Q&A)
  • Symposium (90 min)
  • Workshop (90 min)

Please consider accessibility when preparing your slides.
  • Use a font size of 18 or larger.
  • Use readable fonts

Sharing your presentation

External presenters, please save your powerpoint in the format AUTHOR SURNAME_PARALLEL SESSION # and send to [email protected]k on or by the 24th June 2024.

Edge Hill presenters will be able to upload their presentation to a central onedrive folder, a link will be shared directly with you.

These will be available for you to open in the parallel session.

You are also advised to have a backup copy of your presentation, either via memory stick or accessible via the cloud in case of any issues accessing this file on the day.

Information about the venue
  • All rooms are set up with standard IT equipment for conference presentations including computers and digital screens, and connectors for laptops if required.
  • You may wish to bring a remote pointer with you or you are welcome to sit at the presenter desk.
  • Some rooms also have touchscreens.

At the event

Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before the panel is due to start, so that you can introduce yourself to the chair.

If you’re in a later session, please try and find the session chair before your session – this makes everything easier.
