I know I know, I’ve already talked about this in various other blogs but being that the event is being run precisely a week today I thought this would a good opportunity to tell you exactly why you should turn up and have a look round!
So first of all the details, the fair will run from 10:00am through to 3:00pm on the ground floor of the hub, and will include stalls from the University Accommodation and Finance teams, West Lancashire District Council, Endsleigh insurance, Merseytravel, The Residential Landlords Association, The local Police and Fire service, and the founders of a new student housing advice website ‘The Naked Tenant’.
Each will be there to give you information that will help you make an informed decision about where you choose to live and will be able to offer advice about everything from your rights and responsibilities as a tenant, through to how to ensure your house is a secure as possible and finding out who you can turn to if things go wrong.
Don’t forget that the University’s registered housing list is released just two days after the fair on Wednesday 18th January so make sure you use the fair to find out everything you can about house hunting and what to do once you’ve found a house before you sign your contracts for next year.
Hopefully you’ll have seen my previous blogs on off campus accommodation and won’t have rushed into signing for a house, but if you have, then still make sure you come along and get as much information and advice as you can that may help you when you move in to your new house in September.
As always if you have any questions or comments you can e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone me on 01696 657311
