Let\u2019s take a look back at what\u2019s been an incredible year!<\/em><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Snapshot of SAPs Activity 24\/25<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/studentadvisorypanel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/425\/2025\/04\/Panel-4-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-92 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/studentadvisorypanel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/425\/2025\/04\/Panel-4-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/studentadvisorypanel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/425\/2025\/04\/Panel-4-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/studentadvisorypanel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/425\/2025\/04\/Panel-4-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/studentadvisorypanel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/425\/2025\/04\/Panel-4-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/studentadvisorypanel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/425\/2025\/04\/Panel-4-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hosted <strong>12 panels<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Welcomed <strong>14 guest speakers<\/strong> from <strong>10 different university services<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spent <strong>19 hours<\/strong> sharing lived experience and influencing decision making<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shared <strong>37 <\/strong>considerations which link to the targets in our Access and Participation Plan and will have a positive impact on access, student success and progression.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2014<strong>16<\/strong> considerations have already been fully actioned by the end of the year with <strong>17<\/strong> more in progress!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What&#8217;s Changed?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to the insights and experiences shared by our panel members, some real changes have been made this year such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-c020569f wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-c020569f wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-c020569f wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>We\u2019ve improved the <strong>promotion application and interview process<\/strong> for the SAP, making it more accessible for everyone!<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Our <strong>Thrive on Course support programme<\/strong> got a refresh, ensuring future clearing students can benefit from being part of this supportive community.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong>Student Advisors sharing their experiences<\/strong> via video will be front and centre of Uniskills induction and transition material on the Prepare to Study Webpage.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Reviewing and editing to the Growth Resilience model to <strong>ensure the content meets the needs of our diverse student body.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Ensuring the new Student Assistance Programme is <strong>promoted in a way that ensures access for all.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>More Than Just Panel Discussions<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being a SAP member isn\u2019t only about attending panel, our members also receive information about a host of other opportunities across campus for them to get involved in and have their voice heard!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, our members had the chance to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contribute to a research study on working in Equality, Diversity &amp; Inclusion (EDI) as a student from a minoritised background.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist with a PhD research project exploring the experiences of first-in-family university students and their families.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Our Members Say<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At our recent celebration event (yes, there was pizza ?), we reflected on the year\u2019s achievements. Here\u2019s what some of our members had to say about what being a Panel member means to them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPanel allows for us to feel heard, voicing concerns and giving suggestions on how to improve. It has allowed us to meet other like-minded people and share our experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Panel allow for students from all walks of life to share what higher education means to them. This fosters a fully represented, inclusive student body and community.
