student experience.<\/em><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their insights are supporting students, from a range of backgrounds at Edge Hill, to feel like they belong and to access knowledge and opportunities to reach their full academic potential and thrive on their course and beyond.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why we do the work we do?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The themes that our speakers bring to Panel for discussion are always linked to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/document\/access-participation-plan\/\">Access and Participation Plan (APP)<\/a>, which outlines EHU\u2019s commitment to improving outcomes for students from underrepresented backgrounds, whilst the APP is quite a lengthy document, our targets, and the strategies we propose to meet them, have been summarised in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/document\/widening-access-and-student-success-strategy\/\">Widening Access and Student Success Strategy.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What have we been up to?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In October, we hit the ground running with our Student Advisory Panel for 2024\/25 and we\u2019d like to extend a huge thank you to the speakers and members who have participated so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To date we have held the following panels and met with numerous teams across Edge Hill including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Money Advice &#8211; Money Advice Team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NNECL Quality Mark &#8211; Widening Access and Student Success team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uniskills sessions &#8211; Student Engagement team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Belonging &#8211; Widening Access team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Target Connect: student portal &#8211; Customer Support team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student Success recruitment and application processes &#8211; Student Success team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What happens after a Student Advisory Panel?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Student Success Team get straight to work making sure that our member insights are taken forward as considerations by the right team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We spend some time carefully reading through the minutes looking to identify which points of feedback link to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/document\/widening-access-and-student-success-strategy\/\">Widening Access and Student Success Strategy<\/a> targets and interventions and we <strong>feed these back<\/strong> to the relevant team and<strong> monitor <\/strong>these over the academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is a flavour of some of the things we have been able to feedback on already in Semester 1:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ways to enhance a service\u2019s pre-entry offer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ways to enhance a service\u2019s face to face offer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ways to make a service\u2019s offer more visible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Viability of designing a new academic skills module for BTEC learners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enhancements to transitional support between years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes there will be really quick wins; sometimes things take a little longer, especially when bigger projects are underway, but we are listening, and we are feeding back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where something crops up that isn\u2019t directly for the attending team, we will pass member feedback to the <strong>Student Insight team<\/strong> and they will publish any detail on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/students\/you-said-we-listened\/\">\u2018You said, we listened\u2019 student voice webpages<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text
