Having secured the funding  for this ambitious and exciting project bringing Learning Services, Student Services and Careers together under one roof by May 2018,  we now want to share with you news on its progress.  Not only will the new building provide the Edge Hill community with exciting new spaces for study, support and resources but we will also build on our existing good practice and delivery of customer focussed services to  develop and deliver –

  • A contemporary, inviting and well-resourced environment  which will provide a focal point on-campus where staff and students are happy and able to meet, think, learn, create, and participate
  • Modernised online and mobile systems  that will enhance self-service and cross-service facilities, to provide working efficiencies and a more dynamic and seamless customer experience
  • A smart re-visioning of customer focussed help and support  that will see multiple touch points, both face-to-face and virtual, providing choice and convenience for customers
  • Co-location of staff from three core service areas will encourage new conversations and opportunities for innovation while maintaining the goals of high quality service delivery and standards

These are ambitious aims and over the coming months this blog and other communication routes will be used to track progress, gather feedback and offer opportunities for discussion. We will be using a 24/7 live feed to view the  building as it’s constructed, and we’ll have lots of images,  big and small to share with you. Comments are encouraged – this is a building which we hope will be owned by everyone, so please don’t hesitate to  join the conversation.
