  • Thoughtful Eating: Using locally sourced produce, switching to free range and organic meats and eggs etc. Having all vegetarian meals one day a week to reduce carbon foot print. Schools could even have a vegetable garden and grow their own fruits and veggies. Kids would love taking part and can see where their food actually comes from. This could lead to a lifetime of healthy eating. This could also be encouraged for packed lunches.Image result for school vegetable garden
  • Recycling: Make sure there are paper and plastic recycling bins around the classroom and playground. As long as they are well labelled the children should have no problem using them, making it an everyday norm and could help encourage good habits at home. Image result for cool recycling bins
