Literature search for research

Focusing the Scopus database, this session introduces how to:

  • apply a search strategy and save searches
  • gain insights from citation analysis
  • set alerts
  • use Scopus’s author index.

The session involves hands-on activities and creating an Elsevier account to make the most of Scopus’s functionality.

You will leave the workshop understanding how citation databases can enable comprehensive, systematic searching of the literature and provide new insights for research. You will be able to use the advanced tools provided by the Scopus citation database and translate these analytic techniques to other platforms.
