This session covers the strengths and limitations of these two academic search engines. We cover search strategies, following the citation trail of items and people, saving to reference managers, managing alerts and creating your academic profile.
The session involves hands-on activities and creating a profile on Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic
After attending, you gain a deeper appreciation of these tools, including an understanding of why they should not be used in isolation. In addition, you will know how to make the most of the full functionality they offer, including how to create and use your academic profile.
