The Wellcome Trust and Newcastle University invite expressions of interest for their future of European research conference. Funding enables participation in a discussion event about the future of European research, held in Newcastle upon Tyne on 24 September 2018. The event will bring together the next generation of researchers with scientists who changed policy, policy makers from government and science organisations working on research policy. Participants have an opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns and put forward ideas for improving the way European research works.
The event is open to PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and those in their first independent positions from any discipline or institutions. Participants do not have to be funded by Wellcome.
Travel expenses will be covered for those participants who do not receive assistance from their home institution.
