As part of the Societal Challenge 2 ‘Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry, Marine, Maritime and Inland Water Research and the Bioeconomy’ information week, the European Commission and Research Executive Agency (REA) held an info day to launch the 2018-2020 work programme part. The info day was an opportunity to hear more about projects that have so far been supported through the Societal Challenge and what future applicants can learn from their experiences, as well as detailed presentations of the three calls available under Societal Challenge 2 in the final three years of Horizon 2020: Sustainable Food Security (SFS); Blue Growth (BG); and Rural Renaissance (RUR). The deadline for single-stage and the first stage of two-stage proposals is 13 February 2018 and the deadline for the second stage of two-stage calls is 4 September 2018.
