The Dunhill Medical Trust invites applications for its grants. These support research projects aiming to understand the mechanisms of ageing, treating disease and frailty, and identifying and developing new and effective ways to improve the lives of older people.

Applicants may be clinicians from all health professions, academics with the relevant qualifications and experience to undertake the research, or clinicians and researchers in training or registered to study for a higher qualification and supervised by appropriately qualified clinicians or academics. All applicants must demonstrate that they are based in supportive and appropriately equipped research environment with a suitable skill mix in the research team. Project proposals which encompass career development support for the project team, include first-time PIs and experienced co-investigators are encouraged.

Grants are worth between £25,000 and £300,000 for a duration of up to three years and may cover costs of salaries, consumables and equipment.
