Global Unity held a cake sale to raise funds for Care4Calais, a charity supporting refugees who are living on the streets following the destruction of ‘the Jungle’.
Sherish and Emily from the student society Global Unity used the £87 raised from the generosity of EHU staff and students to buy:
12 pairs of male boxers, shower gel, 2 hoodies, 4 jogging bottoms and 6 blankets.
These were delivered to the Care4Calais drop off point in the region last weekend. Care4Calais are still appealing for donations of funds and specific items of clothing. For more information, see their updated needs list.
