Welcome Freshers

Hi Guys,

A Level Results came out last week, Congratulations to everyone who got into their chosen university and Welcome to Edge Hill’s new freshers 🙂

It’s hard to believe that two years ago I was in the same position that you are in now, it was so scary, exciting, worrying, ‘what do i take’, ‘i’m gonna be on my own’, ‘what if I don’t make any friends’…

Everyone has the same questions but the answer to them all is don’t worry it will be fine and you will have the time of your life or the best week of your life 🙂

Make sure you have all your information ready for enrolment and for halls and your course etc. Don’t hesitate to contact me or your course leader if you have any questions

Hi Ho Hi Ho…Back To Uni I Go

Well I thought being home for threee weeks would go by really slow but no, it’s gone very quickly and now I have to pack again and head back to Ormskirk for portfolio, exam and essays.

Only back for two weeks however until home for summer.

Thats what you will find about university, is that three years sound REALLY long but it’s not. They go superfast so you need to enjoy every minute.

Hope you have had a good easter and exams are going well.

Easter Easter Easter

Easter means chocolate and lots of it and it also means going home for a few weeks. 🙂 Which I am very excited about.

It also means it is getting closer for everybodys exams.

Firstly I don’t like exams just like many people, but make sure you revise

‘fail to prepare, prepare to fail’ (benjamin franklin – Thought I would put that in so I don’t get done for plagarising – which you will learn tons about in the next coming months) but that helped me 🙂 I hope it helps you.

Good Luck for whenever your exams are and Happy Easter 🙂

Expanding Uni :)

Edge Hill are always coming up with ways to make students feel comfortable living away from home.
Now Edge Hill are planning on building a new sports complex with indoor and outdoor facilities and new accomodation which is hopefully going to be ready by september 2012, which means you lucky freshers will get a chance at living in brand new halls 🙂

Weekend Getaways :)

Some Weekends in Ormskirk can get a little bit boring especially around this time when people are getting ready to go home, but living half an hour away from liverpool means you can jump on the train to liverpool central, stay in liverpool or ‘train’ set of to some where else.

This weekend I went to visit my brother in the capital and it only took two hours to get there – the speed of technology nowadays is awesome, especially as in a car it would take 3 and a half and walking 2 days and 19 hours (wouldn’t advise this).

Although Ormskirk sounds out of the way, it’s veryaccessible to everyone. Us students are even allowed to escape sometimes 🙂

Hope Your Good.

Asking for Help…

I’m not one for asking for help, but admittedly for the first time this year, I have had to seek help with two of my applications for third year.I always feel like i’m pestering when I ask others for help as they might just be as busy as me, however I have had an immediate response and have an appointment booked for next week to help me.

Don’t be afraid to ask anybody for help, Edge Hill have loads of people always wanting to help you no matter how big or small the problem is.

Being Involved :)

It’s that time of year again where the Student Elections are on.#
The SU (Students Union) are always coming up with new ways to help our university be a better place. They have made some good changes this year which will help benefit us and you when you eventually get here 🙂

They even make sure the students who live at home and off campus are happy to. You can always go to them with a problem as they are and used to be students to. They know what it’s like to be in our position

If you want to have a quick look at what our Students Union does for us (and you) click here

Any questions don’t hesitate to ask
