{"id":7512,"date":"2016-06-14T16:32:51","date_gmt":"2016-06-14T15:32:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/?p=7512"},"modified":"2016-06-14T16:32:51","modified_gmt":"2016-06-14T15:32:51","slug":"developing-a-learning-culture-learning-services-celebrate-learning-at-work-week-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/2016\/06\/14\/developing-a-learning-culture-learning-services-celebrate-learning-at-work-week-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Developing a learning culture: Learning Services celebrate Learning at Work Week 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have always had a strong commitment to staff development within Learning Services but over the\u00a0last 12 months\u00a0we have been\u00a0focussing on how\u00a0we can develop\u00a0a real\u00a0<strong>learning culture<\/strong>. \u00a0Learning at Work Week seemed an ideal vehicle to support this and so we\u00a0decided to celebrate national <strong>&#8216;Learning at Work Week\u00a0<\/strong><strong>2016&#8242;\u00a0<\/strong>with a fantastic programme of activities and events.<\/p>\n<p>Harnessing the theme of <strong>CONNECT<\/strong>\u00a0the main objective was for staff within our diverse Service<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/06\/Image-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7521\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/06\/Image-1-1024x765.jpg\" alt=\"Image-1\" width=\"320\" height=\"242\" \/><\/a> was to re-connect with each other, share knowledge, skills, expertise and ultimately learn something new!<\/p>\n<p>The programme contained a mix of work related and non work related topics.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the topic &#8211; the focus was always on the <strong>learning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>There was something for everyone with sessions\u00a0ranging from new learning t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7522\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/06\/Image-2.jpg\" alt=\"Image-2\" width=\"185\" height=\"185\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/06\/Image-2.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/06\/Image-2-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/06\/Image-2-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/06\/Image-2-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 185px) 100vw, 185px\" \/>echnologies and digital capabilities, to drawing for fun, photography and finding bargains online. \u00a0We even had a make up masterclass!
