A lot of us find ourselves burning the candle at both ends, and this makes it even more\u00a0important to find\u00a0a good balance between valuable time for yourself and\u00a0time for study.\u00a0As semester 2 gets underway, don&#8217;t forget to fuel your brain cells into action by drinking plenty of water and be kind to yourself\u00a0by eating some healthy snacks (brain food!) when you\u2019re out and about on campus.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/01\/day1DSC_2000-L-Copy.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7221\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7221\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/01\/day1DSC_2000-L-Copy-161x300.jpg\" alt=\"day1DSC_2000-L - Copy\" width=\"182\" height=\"340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/01\/day1DSC_2000-L-Copy-161x300.jpg 161w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2016\/01\/day1DSC_2000-L-Copy.jpg 322w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 182px) 100vw, 182px\" \/><\/a>Next week, Learning Services is launching \u201cFood for thought\u201d, to help you think about how <em>you<\/em> balance your wellbeing with your studies.\u00a0Throughout the first week of February (Monday 1<sup>st<\/sup> to Friday 5<sup>th<\/sup>) we will be providing <strong>free healthy snacks and water<\/strong> to help you get that feel-good factor while you study with us!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Come to the 1<sup>st<\/sup> floor of the University library between 11am &#8211; 2pm and see one of our Student Advisors to grab your freebies and find out how we can support you!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>On top of this, we are also running two short workshops with our wonderful colleagues in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/studentservices\/\">Student Services<\/a> which will focus on helping you respond to the daily demands of student life at University. After all, when we feel happy, we work better.<\/p>\n<p>The first workshop <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/wellbeing-session-think-positive-feel-positive-study-positive-tickets-20861474231\"><strong>Think positive. Feel positive. Study positive<\/strong><\/a> (<em>Tuesday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Feb<\/em>) concentrates on understanding how your feelings and emotions can impact on your academic performance and event your daily life. It\u2019s difficult to take a step back, but doing so can help you to build your confidence, improve your problem solving abilities and challenge negative thoughts with a more helpful response. Come along to this workshop to find out how! (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/wellbeing-session-think-positive-feel-positive-study-positive-tickets-20861474231\">Book here<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Then, on <em>Thursday 4<sup>th<\/sup> Feb<\/em> we have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/wellbeing-session-stop-putting-things-off-and-start-getting-things-done-tickets-20862112139\"><strong>Stop putting things off and start getting things done!<\/strong><\/a> which will help you to understand the cycle of procrastination and how to get\u00a0out of it, get organised and get things done! <em>(Ideal for that one assignment you simply can&#8217;t stop putting off!)<\/em>\u00a0In this workshop you will learn how to start tasks earlier and feel more confident in starting, progressing and finishing your tasks on time.
