… if notifications are irritating you \u2013 CHANGE THE SETTINGS!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"temp\"<\/a>Blackboard\u2019s Mobile App (updated to v4.0 in August<\/a>) has been a great hit with Edge Hill students, increasing engagement with courses and facilitating online discussion with fellow students.<\/p>\n

However, we have heard that some students have stopped using the app because their phones were getting notifications every time a tutor uploaded or changes the content of a course.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t want these notifications then you should edit your notification settings \u2013 and this can be done within the Mobile App itself: \u00a0From the dashboard (the first screen when you login) tap the Settings Icon \u2013 then Notifications.\u00a0 You can then select which notifications you want \u2013 (the one you’re most likely to un-tick is circled in the image).\u00a0 These settings apply to all your courses.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, you can change the settings using a PC or Mac. \u00a0Go to the \u2018Dashboard\u2019 in any course and click on a button labelled \u2018Edit Notification Settings\u2019. You can then set the \u2018Bulk Notification Settings\u2019 (the same settings as on the mobile) \u2013 or \u2018Edit Individual Course Settings\u2019. \u00a0\u00a0For detailed information here\u2019s a guide:\u00a0Setting your Mobile Learn course notifications<\/a><\/p>\n

If you are a tutor working early in the morning or late into the evening you can schedule content to be released at a more sociable time – see this short video: Timing the release of content for announcements<\/a>.
