Text reads: This month our student blog series explores: LinkedIn Learning. \" class=\"wp-image-22374\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2024\/12\/Blog-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2024\/12\/Blog-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2024\/12\/Blog-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2024\/12\/Blog-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2024\/12\/Blog.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What does LinkedIn Learning offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/learning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn Learning<\/a> offers access to over 20,000 high-quality online courses and video tutorials written by industry experts which, as an Edge Hill student, you have full, free access to!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/learning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn Learning<\/a> has a wide range of topics and a number of positive features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Courses are arranged into three groups: Business, Technology and Creative<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Courses are written and designed by professionals who are experts in their field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Courses are video based, range in length from 10 minutes to four hours and you can dip in and out as you like<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Many courses have accompanying exercises which you can complete as you work through the course<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can create playlists, focusing on your interests and development priorities &#8211; we&#8217;ve even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/departments\/support\/ls\/techskills\/linkedinlearning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">created some useful playlists<\/a> to get you started<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/learning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn Learning<\/a> uses an algorithm which personalises your experience and will recommend courses according to your interests and career goals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Courses can be downloaded for offline use<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is an app for iOS and Android, so you can learn anytime, anywhere<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are the benefits of using LinkedIn Learning?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/learning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn Learning<\/a> can help you improve your academic performance through courses on topics such as improving your writing, time management skills and finding academic literature<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It can help prepare you for the job market by helping you improve your relevant knowledge and skills. There are many useful courses on writing a CV and improving your job interview techniques which can improve your chances of getting your dream job<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can link <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/learning\">LinkedIn Learning<\/a> to your LinkedIn profile, highlighting your professional development to potential employers. When you have a completed a course you will receive a certificate that you can add to your LinkedIn account, showcasing your professional development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can learn at a pace that suits you and your schedule<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to access LinkedIn Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can click on the many links to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/learning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn Learning<\/a> in this post or download the LinkedIn Learning app for iOS and Android, to learn on the go through your phone or tablet. You can also access LinkedIn Learning from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/departments\/support\/ls\/techskills\/linkedinlearning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dedicated Tech Skills webpage,<\/a> which also gives you more information about LinkedIn Learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will need to set up your account when you access LinkedIn Learning for the first time, but this is very straightforward and for more information on how to do this there is <a href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.cloud.panopto.eu\/Panopto\/Pages\/Viewer.aspx?id=0672bd83-e6e4-439f-9ec1-adc500b6a988&amp;start=10.248527\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a useful video<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Further Help and Support<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember, if you need any further help or support finding, accessing, or getting the most out of your resources head over to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/departments\/support\/ls\/uni-skills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UniSkills web pages<\/a>.
