Embrace, Support, Empower: Raising awareness of neurodivergence .<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As our <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/2023\/10\/09\/embrace-support-empower-raising-awareness-of-neurodivergence-23rd-27th-october-2023\/\">event in 2023<\/a> was such a success, here we are again, delivering workshops, raising awareness and giving out free squishy brains to Embrace, Support and Empower Neurodivergence and Neurodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, feedback suggested our event was interesting and enlightening as well as informative, important and insightful in raising awareness and providing information and a great selection of resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year was also the launch of our toolkits which aimed to empower staff and students to develop knowledge and have conversations regarding differences but most of all, to learn about themselves and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Responding to the increases in people exploring neurodivergence, the SpLD team is hosting a collaborative event for staff and students to learn more about. We hope the event will highlight strategies for support and embrace people\u2019s differences.&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\"><br><strong>SPLD Drop in<\/strong><br><br>Come and meet our SpLD Advisors\u202fon the ground floor events space in Catalyst to explore different study stations, stationery, strategies and interactive activities. There will also be a chance to work with the team to develop your own personal Venn diagram exploring your learning, sensory and cognitive profile.  Staff will be available Monday and Friday to meet with students - 10-12 and 2-4 Monday and Friday.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Toolkits&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SpLD Team have been working with students and colleagues over the last year to develop a suite of toolkits aimed at supporting students to build autonomy and explore differences to build study skills strategies and confidence. This will be coupled with practical examples of how to implement some of the practice in your own learning and teaching.
