This means that links from previous emails sent from the old system will stop working once teams switch over to the new portal. Your data will be held in accordance with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/students\/important-stuff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University policies<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is it changing?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>You may remember being asked for your feedback on student portals during our survey on Student Communications last year (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/2023\/02\/13\/got-a-catalyst-crush\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Got a Catalyst Crush?<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your feedback told us that you would prefer to have one system, with one log in, where you can access the whole range of support available from teams based in Catalyst. This is why we have been working hard behind the scenes to deliver an improved experience for you and your peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you log into the new portal, you\u2019ll easily be able to navigate between services to find what you need. From appointments with Money Advice to Uniskills workshops \u2013 we\u2019ve got it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do you need to do?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>You don\u2019t need to do anything! All students, both new and returning, will be able to access the new portal using your University log in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if you have downloaded the app \u201cMyEHU\u201d, which is part of the E2S system, we do recommend uninstalling it as this will also be decommissioned over summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the new portal is live, all web links for service bookings will be redirected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What services can you access through the new portal?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accommodation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Careers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disability Support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mental Health and Wellbeing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Money Advice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student Life<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student Support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UniSkills and TechSkills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Latest Updates<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay tuned &#8211; Please <a href=\"mailto:CatalystEnquiries@edgehill.ac.uk\">contact the Catalyst Helpdesk<\/a> if you have any questions or need support accessing the new portals. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You Said, We Listened<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>So, why have we moved to a new system? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023 over 1,000 Edge Hill University students provided feedback about their experience of student communications and accessing specialist support from Catalyst specialist support teams across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/departments\/support\/ls\/\">Library and Learning Services<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/departments\/support\/studentservices\/\">Student Services<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/departments\/support\/careers\/\">Careers<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><thead><tr><th>You Said<\/th><th>We Listened<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><em>&#8220;Logging into multiple portals was a barrier&#8221;<\/em><\/td><td>All Catalyst teams now use the same system \u2013 Target Connect \u2013 and although we have individual areas within the system, you<strong> only need to log in once<\/strong> and can navigate between each support area via a drop-down menu<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><em>&#8220;Student portals are not visible enough&#8221;<\/em><\/td><td>Your <strong>portals are available<\/strong> front and centre <strong>on your<\/strong> <strong>Student Homepage <\/strong>\u00a0<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><em>&#8220;Engage2Serve portal was not easily identifiable and did not evaluate well&#8221;&nbsp;<\/em><\/td><td><strong>Target Connect has replaced Engage2Serve<\/strong> and we <strong>aim to improve our communication with you<\/strong> to ensure you have all the info you need, when you need it &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><em>&#8220;You need help learning how to use and navigate portals<\/em>&#8220;<\/td><td>In January 2024 we <strong>created several new video tutorials<\/strong> for the existing portals and will be updating these for Target Connect in the coming months &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your Student Support Services teams based in Catalyst are moving to a new online portal for bookings and resources.
