href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=https:\/\/search.credoreference.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Credo Reference<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=http:\/\/www.oxfordreference.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oxford Reference<\/a> are two online reference libraries that contain encyclopaedias, dictionaries, thesauri and other reference books related to a huge range of subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=https:\/\/search.credoreference.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Credo Reference<\/a> contains over 3 million articles from over 1,200 titles, published by 121 publishers and subjects covered include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arts and Leisure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Biography<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business, Finance and Economics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Geography<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health and Medicine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>History<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jobs and Careers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathematics and Statistics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psychology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Science<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technology and Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=http:\/\/www.oxfordreference.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oxford Reference<\/a> contains reference books from <a href=\"https:\/\/global.oup.com\/academic\/?cc=gb&amp;lang=en&amp;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oxford University Press<\/a> and includes two collections: <em>Oxford Quick Reference<\/em> and <em>Oxford Reference Library<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Oxford Quick Reference<\/em> provides brief information on a topic, whereas <em>Oxford Reference Library<\/em> contains scholarly reference books that explore the topic in more depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The subjects covered in these resources include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>History<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Language Reference<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Literature<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Media Studies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medicine and Health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Music<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing Arts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Science and Technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Society and Culture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits of using Credo Reference and Oxford Reference<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Both <a href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=https:\/\/search.credoreference.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Credo Reference<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=http:\/\/www.oxfordreference.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oxford Reference<\/a> are useful for all students. If you need quick information or something more in-depth <a href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=https:\/\/search.credoreference.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Credo Reference<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=http:\/\/www.oxfordreference.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oxford Reference<\/a> could be just what you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a new topic to research, they can also be a good first source of information. If you need a definition of a word or a synonym whilst writing an assignment, you may want to use their English language dictionaries and thesauri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They can also help you with keywords that you may use to conduct further research on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/departments\/support\/ls\/discover-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Discover More<\/a> or another database. Whilst reading about a topic you may see useful terms you can search for, and both can give you related terms that may be helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=https:\/\/search.credoreference.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Credo Reference<\/a> also has a very nice mind map feature which presents your search terms in the middle, with different branches containing other related terms.
