Who are Library and Learning Services?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Library and Learning Services<\/a> (LS) are based in Catalyst<\/a> alongside Student Services<\/a> and Careers<\/a>. Head over to the LS Induction pages<\/a> to find out what the teams do; how they can support you and what facilities are available in the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Library Resources<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To find all your print and electronic resources Discover More<\/a> is the place to search. Access your online reading lists<\/a> and (by clicking on the book titles<\/em>) find out the items location and availability. Collect items directly from the Library shelves and check them out on any of the self-issue machines located around Catalyst<\/strong>. If an item is ever unavailable (e.g. all out on loan) you can place a reservation and we\u2019ll let you know when it is ready to collect!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an Edge Hill student you also have access to thousands of high quality academic eResources<\/strong>. If you need any help finding academic information or navigating your online resources we have lots of information, video tutorials, guides and interactive toolkits on our UniSkills web pages<\/a> \u2013 all available 24\/7! Academic Skills Support (UniSkills)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although your DASS (Developing Academic Study Skills) module will give you lots of information about how to develop your study skills at University, you also have full access to our\u00a0UniSkills support<\/a>. To find out more about\u00a0how we can support you<\/strong>\u00a0head over to the\u00a0UniSkills web pages. On here you\u2019ll discover\u00a0loads of advice to help you with\u00a0assignment planning<\/strong>,\u00a0critical thinking, punctuation, proofreading<\/strong>\u00a0and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you require more tailored support you can book a 1-2-1 appointment<\/a> with one of our friendly and knowledgeable Academic Skills Advisors. These can really help if you want to focus on a particular piece of academic writing or research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have, or think you have, a Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) such as Dyslexia or Dyspraxia you can access additional support from our SpLD team<\/a>.  Support is available from first point of contact with the team so do not hesitate to reach out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
