From the 18th<\/sup>-20th<\/sup> April, your Student Advisors will be ready to welcome you at their dedicated events space on the ground floor of Catalyst. Tuck into some healthy revision snacks<\/strong>, take a brain break with a spot of colouring<\/strong>, or simply find out more about how the UniSkills team can help you along your academic journey. To inspire your revision or share your own study tips, you’ll also find a feedback wall<\/strong> filled with motivational messages and helpful hints from your fellow revisers! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear UniSkills\u2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At our events space on the ground floor of Catalyst and on our Instagram<\/a>, we\u2019ll be collecting all your burning questions for the UniSkills team<\/strong>. Whether about referencing or revision worries, you can submit anonymously, and we\u2019ll share the answers to as many as we can via videos on our social media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Book your place<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic English language support<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Language Centre offers academic English language support sessions<\/strong><\/a> for international students and home students who do not have English as their first language. As these sessions are available throughout the semester, you can book anytime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a studying a language module with the Language Centre and have a query or feel that you need some support or guidance<\/strong>, you can also book an appointment with the Language Support Tutor<\/a>. Appointments can be face-to-face in room LP0.07 (Law and Psychology building), or online via MS Teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading for pleasure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although you\u2019ll likely be doing lots of academic reading ahead of your assessments, reading for pleasure can be a great way to relax in between study sessions. As well as offering free access to a wide variety of eBooks and audio books via the Libby App<\/strong>, we also recommend paying a visit to our wonderful fiction section<\/strong> on the ground floor of Catalyst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wellbeing support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re feeling particularly nervous about your upcoming assessments, you\u2019re not alone. Alongside staying organised and planning ahead, it is important to remember there is always someone to talk to<\/strong>. This might be ourselves, your tutor, or the\u202fWellbeing Team<\/a>, who also have a wide selection of self-help resources<\/a>. These include Togetherall, a 24\/7 online community where you can get things off your chest, explore your feelings, get creative and learn how to self-manage your mental health and wellbeing with support from trained counsellors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
