If you\u2019re a new student, or a current student with a desire to keep up to date – listen up! Our brilliant Get Going With UniSkills<\/strong> webinars will be perfect for you. They are half an hour sessions, designed to get you up to speed on how to navigate (the new and improved) Discover More<\/a>, Learning Edge<\/a>, and which types of information will gain you good marks in your assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND…<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These webinars are perfect for new students at Edge Hill, as it will give you a head-start at familiarising yourself with platforms you\u2019ll be using for your entire time at university. Current students, these are great for you too, as you can take advantage of the (free<\/strong>) services on offer within UniSkills <\/a><\/strong>that you might not know about, plus, you will get an in-depth tutorial of the new Discover More<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are co-designed and co-delivered by your Student Advisors<\/a>; Maya (myself), Charlotte, Callie and Darren. We\u2019re all current students at Edge Hill, meaning we know exactly what will help you, plus – we love a chat! As we\u2019ve been through years of university between us, we know that at the beginning, the abundance of information you need to memorise can sometimes be overwhelming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT WILL WE COVER…<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We will guide you through the best resources you\u2019ll be able to use for your assignments, as well as how to find them (in a way you won\u2019t forget). We\u2019ll also answer the question of \u2018what is academic information<\/strong>?\u2019 to make sure you\u2019re completely prepared for your first assignments in the new academic year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as this, we will show you the services on offer to all students via UniSkills<\/strong>, including 24\/7 online support with topics like referencing<\/strong> and presentations<\/strong>, all the way through to 1-2-1 appointments<\/strong> to support you with your assignments before submission. As a student, they\u2019re really useful to know about, so if you need them at any<\/em> point in your time at university, you know exactly where to go!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
