From our <strong>virtual UniSkills support<\/strong> (Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/uni-skills\/\">our web pages<\/a> 24\/7), to our Student Advisor <em>Social Media Takeover<\/em> from 16<sup>th<\/sup>-20<sup>th<\/sup> August, there\u2019s plenty to <strong>develop your skills ahead of any upcoming Summer Assessments<\/strong> you may have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In particular, be sure to check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/uni-skills\/exam-preparation\/\">Exam Preparation Tab<\/a>, which has lots of handy guidance on <strong>goal setting, staying motivated and revision tools and techniques<\/strong>. We also recommend spending some time familiarising yourself with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/onlinelearning\/\">Online Learning and Assessment web pages<\/a>, which contain all you need to know about online <strong>Turnitin<\/strong> and <strong>Panopto<\/strong> submissions, as well as <strong>Timed Blackboard Online Tests<\/strong> ?.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s understandable that you might be anxious about completing your assessments. The good news is that <strong>planning ahead and feeling prepared <\/strong>can help towards calming your nerves. It\u2019s also important to remember <strong>there is always someone to talk to <\/strong>should you need, whether that be ourselves, your tutor, or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/studentservices\/wellbeing\/\">Wellbeing Team<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With all this in mind, here are our <strong>top tips<\/strong> for ensuring your Summer Assessments run as smoothly as possible: &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Install Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox onto your PC or laptop as the University systems work best on these web browsers. We don\u2019t recommend trying to complete assessments using a tablet or phone. If you don\u2019t have access to a PC or laptop contact the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.ac.uk\/askus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Catalyst Helpdesk<\/a>.<\/li><li>Read and digest any information provided by your tutors for the assessments you will be taking. It is a good idea to have the information about how the assessment will work clear in your head prior to the assessment date itself.<\/li><li>Make sure you have access to the software you will need, including Microsoft Word or another text editor. Remember that you have access to Office 365 and can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/services\/office-download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">download the software<\/a>&nbsp;to your device for free.<\/li><li>Log into Blackboard on the device you will be using to check your access.<\/li><li>Update your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/services\/password-reset\/#gref\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">alternative email<\/a>.
