The crucial starting point is in managing your time and planning your revision carefully.<\/p>\n<p>The Open University has some excellent advice and resources for preparing for and taking exams:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/skillsforstudy\/revising-exams-and-assessment.php\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/skillsforstudy\/revising-exams-and-assessment.php<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Resources on this site cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to create a revision timetable (and planning throughout the year)<\/li>\n<li>Anxiety management<\/li>\n<li>Mind maps and learning posters<\/li>\n<li>Summary notes and quick view notes<\/li>\n<li>Mnemonics (memory aids)<\/li>\n<li>Revising with friends<\/li>\n<li>Different types of exams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The site has a combination of audio and visual resources and a booklet you can download.
