Here you\u2019ll find our interactive online <strong>UniSkills Toolkits<\/strong>&nbsp;which contain loads of tips and tricks to help you with assignment planning, critical thinking, punctuation, proofreading and much more. There\u2019s also some handy <strong>guides <\/strong>and <strong>videos <\/strong>too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also book your place on a wide range of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/uni-skills\/uniskills-workshops-2\/?tab=workshops-available\" target=\"_blank\">Uniskills Webinars<\/a>. The UniSkills Spring 2021 Webinar programme starts on Monday 25th January and covers a wide range of topics including <strong>academic reading, writing and referencing, effective exam preparation, finding academic resources, conducting a literature review, presentation skills <\/strong>and much more! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will also be delivering a series of <strong>\u2018Getting Started With Uniskills\u2019<\/strong>&nbsp;webinars all week, 1st-5th February, specifically aimed at new students. These sessions will <strong>help you log in<\/strong>, <strong>explore the Blackboard Institution homepage<\/strong>, show you <strong>how to find academic information<\/strong> for your university assignments and give you an <strong>overview of the UniSkills support<\/strong> available \u2013 all the essentials to ensure you\u2019re ready for the start of your course. These introductory webinars will be followed by a further week, 15th-19th March, to guide you through the next stage of <strong>&#8216;Moving Forward With UniSkills&#8217;<\/strong>. These sessions will help you take the <strong>next steps in relation to finding high quality academic information<\/strong> for your university assignments and <strong>developing your referencing and proofreading skills<\/strong>.&nbsp;Both series of webinars are <strong>co-delivered and co-designed by our team of knowledgeable UniSkills Student Advisors<\/strong>, who know everything there is to know about loving the library and smashing your assignments so <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/uni-skills\/uniskills-workshops-2\/?tab=workshops-available\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">come along to find out more<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If at any stage during your studies you feel you would benefit from more specific support with your academic writing, referencing or information skills you can always book a&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/uni-skills\/face-to-face-support\/?tab=1-2-1-appointments\" target=\"_blank\">1-2-1 virtual appointment<\/a>&nbsp;with an Academic Skills Advisor. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/uni-skills\/face-to-face-support\/?tab=face-to-face-support\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Find out more about how UniSkills can support you and even (virtually) meet the team<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Finding Your Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you start your tutor will provide you with your reading list and I\u2019m sure many of you will be keen to get going! To find your resources the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/capitadiscovery.co.uk\/edgehill\/?utm_source=ehuacuk&amp;utm_medium=lshome&amp;utm_campaign=library\" target=\"_blank\">Library Catalogue<\/a>&nbsp;is a great place to begin. From here you can access your&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/edgehill.rl.talis.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Reading List Online, <\/a>and you can jump straight into eBooks and eJournals for access at a click of a mouse!&nbsp;The&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/subject-resources\/\" target=\"_blank\">Subject Resource web pages&nbsp;<\/a>contain all the relevant journals and databases for your subject area and you can also browse the e-resource collections using the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/discover-more\/?utm_source=ehuacuk&amp;utm_medium=lshome&amp;utm_campaign=discovermore\" target=\"_blank\">Discover More search tool<\/a> which has access to thousands of high quality, up to date journal articles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also collect items directly from the shelves and check them out on the self-issue machines located around the building or reserve items straight from the shelves using our temporary<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/library\/?tab=click-and-collect\" target=\"_blank\">&nbsp;\u2018Click and Collect\u2019 service.<\/a>&nbsp;And, if there is ever a book or journal article that we don\u2019t have in our collection you can ask us add a copy by using the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/library\/?tab=you-want-it-we-get-it\" target=\"_blank\">You Want It, We Get it<\/a>&nbsp;service.
