Here you\u2019ll find information on goal setting, staying motivated, how to avoid common mistakes and links to some helpful online guides &amp; tutorials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assessment periods can be a stressful\ntime and you may be feeling anxious about completing your online assessment or\nresubmission. To help manage your worries it\u2019s a great idea to start planning\nahead now, so you are as prepared as possible for any unexpected problems on\nthe day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a look at our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/accessinglsonline\/using-technology\/\">Online Learning and Assessments web pages<\/a> where you will find lots of useful information which will should help tackle those fears head on. Here you will find online assessment guides and<a href=\"http:\/\/eshare.edgehill.ac.uk\/15579\/2\/story.html\"> toolkit<\/a>, a pre-assessment checklist and IT troubleshooting tips. Preparation is the key to exam success so here are our top tips to ensure that everything goes smoothly on the day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Install Google\nChrome or Mozilla Firefox onto your PC or laptop as the University systems work\nbest on these web browsers. We don\u2019t recommend trying to complete assessments\nusing a tablet or phone. If you don\u2019t have access to a PC or laptop contact\nthe&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.ac.uk\/askus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Catalyst Helpdesk<\/a>.<\/li><li>Read and digest any\ninformation provided by your tutors for the assessments you will be taking. It\nis a good idea to have the information about how the assessment will work clear\nin your head prior to the assessment date itself.<\/li><li>Make sure you have\naccess to the software you will need, including Microsoft Word or another text\neditor. Remember that you have access to Office 365 and can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/services\/office-download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">download the software<\/a>&nbsp;to your device for free.<\/li><li>Log into Blackboard\non the device you will be using to check your access.<\/li><li>Update your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/services\/password-reset\/#gref\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">alternative email<\/a>. This is so you can easily reset your password should you need\nto.<\/li><li>Access our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/ls\/accessinglsonline\/using-technology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Help and Support guides<\/a>&nbsp;which provide lots of step by step technical information\non how to access and submit your assessment.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you experience any technical issues, or would like advice and\nguidance on how to set up your technology in an optimum way for your assessment,\nthen help is available by contacting the Catalyst Helpdesk virtually via&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.ac.uk\/askus\">email<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.ac.uk\/askus\">live chat<\/a>.\nThe Helpdesk is available from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm at\nweekends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last but not least good luck from everyone at Library &amp;\nLearning Services.
