After a successful Semester 1, we’re delighted to announce the new Uni Skills workshop line-up for Semester 2!

Between September and December last year, we saw a whopping 229 students at our lunchtime workshop series!! We asked for your feedback and we had some fantastic responses:

We listened to your workshop suggestions and as a result we have introduced new workshops into the programme to support you on the topics where you feel you need it most (such as presentation skills for that all-important assessment or formatting long word documents to give them that professional-looking finish!)

If you haven’t attended one of our workshops before, there’s no better time to join! Workshops take place during lunchtime hours and are open to everyone no matter what your course, or year.

The full Semester 2 programme covers a range of key topics including:

  • Planning Your Assignment
  • Academic Writing
  • Harvard Referencing
  • Critical reading and critical analysis
  • Dissertations
  • Finding the right sources
  • Using eResources
  • Proof-reading strategies
  • How to stop putting things off and start getting things done
  • Mastering your exam revision

***New for 2016-17***

  • Powerful presentations
  • Working with long documents

If we don’t offer a workshop that you would like to attend, why not make a suggestion.

How to book your place:

Registration for each workshop will open 2 weeks in advance. Places are limited so don’t forget to book your place online through the My Library tab in Learning Edgevia the UniSkills webpages or via www.ehu.ac.uk/workshops

If a workshop is full or you can’t make the date, simply register your details on the event page (waiting list) and we’ll get in touch should we receive a cancellation for the scheduled session (remember, it’s fastest finger first!)

Note: This Semester we are using a new booking system. The first time you log-in, you may be asked to select some preferences for the Careers Service, we advise you to complete the preferences and then you will automatically arrive on the UniSkills workshops page every time you visit via one of the methods outlined above.
