We now have access again to all our e-resources. I apologise for the inconvenience we know this caused yesterday. We will be monitoring the situation very closely but the collections I have tested both on and off campus are working as they should be.

I am sorry but there is still a problem accessing the e-resources. Our library system suppliers are treating it as urgent and I am hopeful it will be sorted soon. I have been able to find some usernames and password for a few of our databases. I have got a username for Ebsco databases (we have 10 databases from them). A link for Proquest Nursing can also be found at that page. I am happy for you to email me (email@example.com) with a specific request and I can see what I can do. I do know that InterNurse is not available.
It is not possible to access the e-resources via the library catalogue at the moment. Technical staff from the library system are working on this as a matter of urgency. I realise this is causing great problems. I can give you alternative urls to a few of our main databases.

Choose Edge Hill University from the drop down menu and then login to Go. You will then need to search/browse for the specific journal or article required. I do hope this will be resolved very quickly.

We are sorry for the short notice but the library catalogue will be unavailable tonight from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. This is to finish the maintenance which was started yesterday. We have tried to choose a time which will have the least impact on our users.
The library catalogue will be unavailable on Wednesday 26th October from 4.30 p.m. until 7.00 p.m. This is to enable us to carry out some essential maintenance on the system. We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.
It is over a month since we went live with the new library catalogue. Feedback generally has been very positive and users do seem to like the clearer/more modern interface. There were two changes which did not go down so well. In our efforts to make the front screen more streamlined and less cluttered we did remove two links which caused our users some problems. We removed the Refworks link and the listing of online databases. All of these resources can be found by searching the library catalogue but you had become used to accessing them directly from the front screen. The links are back! We have re-instated the direct link to Refworks and the link to the alphabetical list of online databases. We really do appreciate your feedback on the library catalogue and welcome suggestions.
We have been working on the library catalogue to give it a more modern/streamlined feel. The icons have been updated and terminology altered. You can search for your reading lists and have a quick and easy access to our new Discovery tool. We do hope you like our new library catalogue and we welcome feedback from our users.
We will be doing some essential maintenance to the library catalogue between 5 pm and 7 pm on Thursday August 25th. Access might be affected during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope to keep any downtime to the minimum.
The interface for Proquest Nursing Journals has changed. More streamlined and intuitive. Other enhancements include the facility to personalize your research with your own My Research account with options to save, print, email, cite, export citations, and more. You can set some searching preferences and even change the interface language to best suit your needs!
We have updated all the urls on the 800 + ProQuest Nursing Journals so you can search the library catalogue for your favourite titles and be taken directly the journal page. Over the next 2 months other ProQuest databases will move across to the new platform. British Education Index was on Dialog and that will have moved to ProQuest by the end of the week.
We are still experiencing problems with students accessing the library catalogue with their network username and password. The generic temporary library number which we created on Friday is also causing problems for some users. I think this might be when more than one person goes directly into My Library. Can I suggest that you go to the e-resource and enter the temporary details there rather than go through My Library. Again many apologies and we hope this will be resolved on Monday. Just to clarify: search for the journal or ebook you need and then enter the temporary library number. Do not go into My Library. The temporary library number and pin can be found on the right hand side of the screen after you have logged into Go.
