Have been so busy lately that writing completely slipped my mind.
Dissertation is due in two weeks and it’s time to apply for teaching jobs for September – I honestly printed off a 22 page application form today (filled in at least!). It’ll all be worth it in a couple of months though =)
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Today is all about family, though tomorrow is Christmas Day, we’re having Christmas dinner and a big family day today because my mum has to work tomorrow. So tomorrow, I’m going to go to my grandma’s and for the first time in weeks I’m going to forbid myself from thinking about anything uni, school or work related. Tomorrow is for chilling with some nibbles, presents and a film or ten on my grandma’s mega comfy, pet free sofa!
Have a great one.
Cannot get my head round the fact that it’s already December. Since 3rd September, I have spent 3 weeks teaching in France, a total of 17 days in uni and am in my sixth week of placement with one week to go! Then 1 week at uni and it’s Christmas!!!!
Got a 2:1 on my dissertation proposal and have come on leaps and bounds in confidence – in the last 3 months I have taught “kids” between 16 and 29 in France, gotten rid of my fear of teaching year 6, and to top it all I’ve spent an afternoon teaching Spanish in reception! So proud of myself! Love my course, love it all! Would recommend this course to anybody! It’s hard work, but it’s so worth it… and I can’t believe I’ll be graduating in 7 months time! It’s going to fly by!
This placement has gone by so quickly! Really can’t believe that there are only 7 days left of it.
Today is strike day, so no school for me. I’m going to spend the day planning and making sure all my resources are ready for next week. Really enjoying my placement and don’t want it to end just yet!
As if I’ve been in school all week, managing to keep away from the bugs going round and then I start feeling it on Friday night! Felt rather manky all weekend… Oh the joys of teaching! Good job I enjoy it!
Not written in a while… been so very busy with placement. It’s going quite well. Really loving the kids, but all the planning is a lot of hard work. Ready for a break now – roll on Christmas break!!!
So I’m on placement at the moment, and have to get up at ridiculous o’clock in the morning, but had nothing really to do at home this morning so could have had an extra half hour in bed!
Loving placement, it’s brilliant. The kids are definitely challenging at times though! Got sent home from school with an iPad yesterday to get used to so I can use it in my lessons, so that’s what I’m writing on today… Think I’m falling in love – I want one!!!
Right, time to go catch the bus.
So this week is half term – phew! Has been such a busy one! Started off on teaching placement in France, dived straight into three weeks at uni and I’m off out on placement already! My school is brilliant and I know that some of the kids are really going to keep me on my toes!
So far this week I have done two days at uni, done most of my planning for placement, worked in my boyfriend’s (Mike’s) shop on three days, written almost all of my dissertation – sorry “extended study” or “research project” – proposal and gotten my hair cut. Little party for Mike’s sister’s 18th tonight, back to Ormskirk afterwards and then school in the morning!
Well, I’m procrastinating right now – need to get my proposal finished! I’ll leave you with a picture of my new hair cut, because I love it so very much =)
