You can use the comments box below to tell us all about how you&#8217;re using your iPods and Kindles, your digital recorders, tablets and favourite apps!<\/p>\n<p>For those of us (myself included) that didn\u2019t get a shiny new iPad2, I thought I\u2019d highlight some of the great technologies we\u2019ve now all got access to through Learning Edge. After all, Learning Edge got lots of really exciting new tools from Santa too!<\/p>\n<p>Learning Edge is more than just Blackboard; it includes a whole range of teaching and learning systems. The list is long and it\u2019s growing \u2026 this <a title=\"Guide to Learning Edge\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eshare.edgehill.ac.uk\/1216\/\" target=\"_blank\">Guide to Learning Edge<\/a> gives you a quick overview of all the facilities that are currently included, and remember, this lists only the core online technologies you have at your disposal \u2013 we\u2019ll talk about classroom technologies, portable devices, web tools and apps another time!<\/p>\n<p>Just before the New Year we introduced a number of new features to Learning Edge when we updated Blackboard Learn 9.1 to Service Pack 7, including enhancements to the Grade Centre, Interactive Rubrics and Timed Assessments. \u00a0A student Blog now, for instance, might be set to only appear in &#8216;Needs Grading&#8217; status after a student has made three posts, rather than with each individual post.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/grade_center.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-756 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/grade_center.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"88\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/grade_center.png 400w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/grade_center-300x66.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve also added additional functionality with Building Blocks such as, &#8216;Blackboard Mobile Learn&#8217;, &#8216;Paste From Word&#8217; and &#8216;Add Test Student&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/6.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-734\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/6-229x300.png\" alt=\"Log In Screenshot\" width=\"229\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/6-229x300.png 229w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/6.png 535w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 229px) 100vw, 229px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>BLACKBOARD MOBILE LEARN<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThe Mobile Learn app provides quick and easy access to courses in Learning Edge.<\/p>\n<p>For staff and student guides on getting the most from the Blackboard Mobile Learn app, visit the <a title=\"eShare Mobile Collection\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eshare.edgehill.ac.uk\/937\/\" target=\"_blank\">eShare Mobile Collection<\/a>. \u00a0Here, you will find information on downloading the app to your device, setting the course notifications you want to recieve on the go and, for teaching staff, information about building mobile friendly courses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/paste.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-739\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/paste-300x230.png\" alt=\"Paste From Word\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/paste-300x230.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/paste-390x300.png 390w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2012\/01\/paste.png 516w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>PASTE FROM WORD<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThe\u00a0Paste From Word mashup is another useful enhancment for both staff and students as it helps overcome formatting problems when copying and pasting text from Microsoft Word into the Blackboard visual textbox editor (VTBE). Tutors will also be able to embed Campus Pack content within Blackboard course areas.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll be blogging about Campus Pack a lot more in the coming weeks but if you are interested in learning more about this tool, there is an online webinar running on Monday 16<sup>th<\/sup> January at <del>3pm<\/del> 2:30-3:30pm.
