So true.<\/p>\n<p>This time a year ago I was urging students to complete <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eshare.edgehill.ac.uk\/9894\/\" target=\"_blank\">the 6th EHU Student e-Learning Survey<\/a> and a whopping 798 actually did. Today I am able to publish the full report and recommendations based on the analysis of that survey\u2019s results. We are very grateful for our students&#8217;\u00a0generosity with their time and feedback. Cover of survey report\" width=\"212\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2016\/01\/Student_Survey-1-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2016\/01\/Student_Survey-1.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 212px) 100vw, 212px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4734\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cover from survey report<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The survey\u2019s findings shed light on a number of topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access to technology<\/li>\n<li>Trend analysis in the use\/ experience of Learning Edge since 2008\/09<\/li>\n<li>Positive and negative features of Learning Edge<\/li>\n<li>What students think makes for an \u2018ideal\u2019 digital learning environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>But there&#8217;s more &#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to publicising the student survey findings, this post is also a call for feedback via its sister survey into<strong> academic staff engagement with technology, library and services to support teaching<\/strong>. The survey is currently live until <strong>midnight on 29th January<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u00a0[now extended to midnight 5th February]<\/span> <\/strong>and can be accessed from the <strong>Learning Edge home page<\/strong>. We\u2019ve even been able to secure three lots of <strong>\u00a315 Amazon vouchers for a free prize draw<\/strong> for entrants.<\/p>\n<p>Please complete the survey and help us to better understand your experience of using technology and the services that underpin it. We have learned over many years that success in providing and supporting learning technologies doesn\u2019t come from following a \u2018how to\u2019 guide, but is highly context specific, dependent upon properly understanding how people use them\u00a0\u2013 and what it feels like to use them.
