I developed a great way of creating links to YouTube and similar sites that works well for desktop and mobile users. Just use a Web Link with a description.<\/p>\n

Here are the steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \"button\"<\/a>Get the URL link for the video from YouTube. For example you could try it with our \u2018Learning Edge Welcome Video<\/a>‘<\/li>\n
  2. Go to the Blackboard ‘Content area’ page that you want to add the link to<\/li>\n
  3. Add a Web Link<\/li>\n
  4. Paste the link in, and enter a suitable description<\/li>\n
  5. In the description box, click the \u2018Insert\/Edit Embedded Media\u2019 button (see image)<\/li>\n
  6. Paste the URL into the File\/URL box & click\u00a0insert at the bottom of the page<\/li>\n
  7. Submit<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The result is that desktop users see:<\/p>\n

    \"DesktopMediaLink2\"<\/a>
    \nMobile users get the web link too (    Learning Edge Welcome Video<\/a>) but don\u2019t see the embedded picture.\u00a0 It works great \u2013 give it a go.<\/p>\n
