We have an exciting new addition to the family!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ok, so it might not be the most exciting thing for some, but we will shortly be switching on a fantastic new tool within Learning Edge to help make your academic communication easier between staff and students.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.goqwickly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Qwickly<\/a> is a tool used to streamline some of those monotonous processes that we\u2019ve heard have been grinding the gears of Learning Edge instructors for sometime&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>So what does it do exactly?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well, this is the good bit\u2026 You know all those times that you have to go into each course or module, one at a time, and sometimes create the same announcement? Well, no longer! <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goqwickly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Qwickly<\/a> allows you to create one announcement and send it to multiple courses in one click! \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.goqwickly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Qwickly<\/a> knows which courses and modules you\u2019re enrolled in and will allow you to select it from a list, create your announcement and send &#8211; It\u2019s that easy!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4066\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2015\/02\/Qwickly2.png\" alt=\"Qwickly2\" width=\"828\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2015\/02\/Qwickly2.png 828w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2015\/02\/Qwickly2-300x163.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2015\/02\/Qwickly2-500x271.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 828px) 100vw, 828px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>But wait! That\u2019s not all!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That annoying quirk of trying to remember which course or modules you\u2019ve released to students? Yes! It\u2019s now even easier to do a quick check of which one\u2019s are available and which one\u2019s aren\u2019t and with the click of a button release it to students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And finally!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will also be able to send an email to students in multiple courses or modules in the same way as the announcements &#8211; super quick for those urgent moments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So is that it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not quite\u2026 Additionally, you can \u2018qwickly\u2019 see how many papers you have still to mark and also customise the tools that you want to see in the control panel, so if you\u2019re not interested in the email function just remove it from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goqwickly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Qwickly<\/a> list.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2015\/02\/Qwickly2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4065\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2015\/02\/Qwickly.png\" alt=\"Qwickly\" width=\"581\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2015\/02\/Qwickly.png 581w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2015\/02\/Qwickly-300x131.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2015\/02\/Qwickly-500x218.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 581px) 100vw, 581px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wow! I can\u2019t wait! So when can we have it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Monday 9th February <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goqwickly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Qwickly<\/a> will be launched to all members of staff using Learning Edge. \u00a0You\u2019ll be able to see the panel at the bottom of your course list on the Home tab. \u00a0Sorry it\u2019s all the way down there\u00a0but we didn&#8217;t want it to interfere with any other panels that you can see in the 1st and 3rd columns of your Learning Edge Home tab.<\/p>\n<p><strong>An important note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please use this tool responsibly! Please remember that whatever you do has an instant effect. \u00a0If you send an announcement, all those students will receive it instantly, this is the same with email. \u00a0Once it\u2019s been sent we cannot retrieve it! So please don\u2019t come crying if you send it to the wrong students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Remember!<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<em>Just because you can \u2018qwickly\u2019 communicate, doesn\u2019t mean you always should.
