The summer is on the horizon, bringing with it not only better weather but a\u00a0better Learning Edge too! We are currently working with Blackboard to introduce a number of new features which will improve your experience and use of Learning Edge.<\/p>\n

The upgrade will introduce exciting innovations as well as improvements to core capabilities, some of which are detailed below:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Student Preview<\/strong><\/p>\n

This new tool will enable you to quickly view and verify the\u00a0design of your course \"Studetn_Preview_Icon\"content and course navigation\u00a0from the perspective of a student. This means that you will no longer need\u00a0to manage the creation and enrollment of test student accounts.<\/p>\n

Anonymous and Delegated Grading<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Anon_Grading_Del\"<\/a>With the Blackboard assignment tool you will be able to grade anonymously and delegate\u00a0grading responsibilities\u00a0to other members of staff.<\/p>\n

Social Tools and Profiles<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Learning<\/a><\/p>\n

With upgraded social learning tools including calendars, social spaces and improved cloud profiles, both students and staff can stay connected inside\u00a0the traditional Virtual Learning Environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘My Blackboard’ also provides a convenient one stop location for\u00a0frequently used tools, such as My Grades for students and the Retention Center for staff.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Summer Upgrade Pre-Testing<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Clipboard\"<\/p>\n

In order for us to prepare for the upgrade, we will be carrying\u00a0out extensive testing throughout May, June and July. The important dates for you to make a note of are the 27th May<\/strong> and 23rd June<\/strong>, as LTD team will be unavailable for general queries.<\/p>\n

And the final important date is…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following successful testing the current target date for the upgrade is July 20th \/ 21st.<\/strong><\/p>\n
