You don\u2019t need to be a technical whiz to do this just follow the below instructions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly, we always recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox when using Panopto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pre-recording\/Uploading your video using Panopto on a desktop device.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you know all students have access to Panopto? Cross site tracking can be disabled on your phone, to do this go to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Settings\/Safari\/Privacy &amp; Security and turning Prevent Cross-Site Tracking off.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Safari.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Safari.png\" alt=\"Disable Prevent Cross-Site Tracking in Safari\" class=\"wp-image-11998\" width=\"221\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Safari.png 295w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Safari-278x300.png 278w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 221px) 100vw, 221px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternatively, you can use the Panopto Mobile App to save your video into your personal folder.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Panopto App allows staff and students to view, record and upload content on either their Android or iOS personal device and is simple to use.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Panopto App can be downloaded from the following links:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/panopto\/id1486450547\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">iOS devices<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.panopto.mobile&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;gl=US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Android devices<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Logging In to the Panopto App.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Login to the app using your Edge Hill email address and password.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Panopto1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"224\" height=\"251\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Panopto1.png\" alt=\"Panopto app\" class=\"wp-image-11999\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After logging in you will be directed to the app\u2019s homepage to sign in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Panopto3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"327\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Panopto3.png\" alt=\"You will be directed to the app's homepage\" class=\"wp-image-12001\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Panopto3.png 250w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/learningedge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/130\/2023\/11\/Panopto3-229x300.png 229w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recording and Uploading a Video&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>In the app, select the plus\u202f<strong>+\u202f<\/strong>icon from the lower right corner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A pop-up menu will appear at the bottom of your screen, select which you would like to do:\u202f<strong>Record a video<\/strong>\u202for\u202f<strong>Upload media.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Record a video<\/strong>: If you select this option, your phone&#8217;s camera will open.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the red circle to start your recording.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have recorded your video select Done.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your recording will be uploaded to your \u2018My folder\u2019 which can also be accessed from Blackboard during the submission process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Upload media<\/strong>: If you select this option, the\u202f<strong>Files\u202f<\/strong>feature on your phone will open, allowing you to select and upload media<em>. Note: For iOS users, a pop-up window will appear allowing you to pick between the media library in your phone and iOS files.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recording and Uploading a Video&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have created your video access the drop box and follow the instructions below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the text box labelled \u2018Submission\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the text editor options, select the \u2018Insert content\u2019 (+) icon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u2018Content Market\u2019 and then \u2018Panopto Student Video Submission\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have options to Choose, Upload, and Record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the video you wish to submit then select \u2018Insert\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At this point you can change the display name of your recording if you wish.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your video will be added to the submission.
