Well, it’s a Friday night and instead relaxing watching a film, or being out somewhere I find myself working…
I’m working on my career entry development profile, so I can get it done and not have any work to do over the weekend!
I have a meeting with my tutor on Tuesday to go through all of my “qualified teachers status” standards and check that I have achieved everything in order to pass the course and gain QTS.
So much to do, just pulling everything together in preparation for a job in September (hopefully!!) and looking back on all of the achievements ( and tough times) over the last three years!!
I’m searching for jobs at the minute, and hoping that I’ll find one that means I can stay at home for a while, so that I can save up for my own house!
It’s scary, but extremely exciting, thinking that in September I will be a “real” teacher. I’m also under no illusions that it’s going to be easy. I am only just beginning on my journey and have so much to learn and so many skills to develop and I cannot wait!!
Hello again 🙂
So, I handed my dissertation in on Friday and I have to say it is a feeling of relief to have that off my mind… Here is what the end product looked like…
Although I do say so myself, I was pretty impressed with the end result!
It’s sad that my time on my course is coming to an end and all I have left to do is my Career Entry Development Profile with my personal tutor!
So just job hunting at the moment… I was invited to an interview at a school tomorrow, but went to have a look at whereabouts it is today and decided that it was too far to travel everyday, it took an hour, and that’s with no traffic on a Sunday! So, I’ve decided that I’m just going to look a bit closer to home! Fingers crossed that I will get something soon! I will keep you updated 🙂
Speak again soon!
Hope you are all revising hard for your exams and working hard on any coursework that you have left!
Not long until summer now and some of you will be preparing to go to Uni (hopefully Edge Hill) and getting ready to embark on a whole new journey starting in September!
Hopefully September will bring a new journey and set of challenges for me too… hopefully in the shape of a teaching job!! I actually can’t believe how quickly the last three years have gone, and despite being full of excitement for graduation I’m also sad… It’s hit me the last couple of days that it’s also the end of an era for me at Edge Hill with some of the best friends I have ever had!
But when one door closes, another always opens… I am starting my Masters in Educational Leadership in September, at Edge Hill, so will technically still be an Edge Hill student but as it’s a distance learning course it will be very different from the past three years.
Right now i’m just working hard to get my dissertation all finished as the hand in date is Friday and I’m hoping to have it finished by tomorrow dinner time so that I have the rest of the week to make any alterations that I need to!
I’ll write again soon, one day next week!
Oh my gosh…. I’ve just realised that it’s May…. I can’t actually believe how quickly this year is going!
I’m currently on the countdown to graduation – we’ve been given our date and time for graduation – 18th July 5.30pm – eeeee!! I can’t believe it, it all seems so real now! I’ve also organised a graduation party for everyone on my course, their families and our tutors following the graduation ceremony as a final thing that we will all do together.
I’ve also had some good news…. I’ve been offered a place on the Masters Educational Leadership course when I successfully finish my current course! So, understandably I am over the moon!!
I’ve been onto campus today to meet with a couple of friends to work on one of our final assignments. We only have 2 assignments and our dissertation left to write and then we are finished!
Until next time,
