What to Do over Easter Break

Right now it’s Easter holidays, and you may be sitting there thinking, “wow, I don’t know what to do”, so other than the obvious turn up for work if you have a job or work on coursework, I’m gonna suggest some fun things that you may or may not have thought of to make sure you get the most out of your Easter break!

The Easter holiday is the perfect time to explore your interests whilst enhancing your CV, and when you can’t get paid work, what’s the best next thing? Volunteering! There are a variety of volunteering opportunities, some of which may be on your doorstep. Even if you can’t get a volunteering job that matches your course, it’s still just as useful working in a charity shop as it can teach you communication and organisational skills. Additionally, doesn’t necessarily require too much of your time, so you can also enjoy your break while doing your bit to help your local community. Some ideas of places you can volunteer: Charity shop, dog-walking for those who struggle with movement, elderly homes, hospital driver.

Next up you might want to consider spring cleaning! Yes, cleaning is not the most exciting of Easter holiday activities, but having a clear out can be both physically and mentally helpful. Physically you can earn money from the items you find which you do not want anymore by selling them on sites such as eBay and Music Magpie, or even doing a bootsale if you’re feeling brave. And mentally, cleaning up your room and getting rid of old things can help keep your mind clear because: clean house, clean mind.

You might wanna go outdoors. Whether that’s travelling in the UK or home to see your family, or if you can afford it travel abroad. Alternatively, if you find yourself in Ormskirk over the Easter break, why not explore? Ormskirk is a lot bigger than you think! Walking in nice woodland, or through a field is a great way to clear your head. Additionally, if you’re going home for Easter, check what is going on locally near you, as most of the time there will be a free event on the go. And for those of you who love the outdoors, go cycle and walk, check out the beautiful landscape, take pictures, enjoy yourself.

Have Fun! Yes, graduation may be nearing, and yes, deadlines are just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t take some time to just have fun. Visit family, hang out with friends, take a trip to the cinema or theatre, attend a concert, go to a museum, binge watch something on Netflix, or even just take a walk to clear your mind, any of these things could make you happy, so pick few and go for it!

Thanks for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed this! I hope you have the best Easter break possible and achieve everything you set out to do.
Until next time!
