- Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great weekend!
Now that we are well and truly into 2018 it is steadily getting towards the time of year where students need to start applying for student finance, for those of you who have gone through the process before you will know that it is really simple and easy!
First of all go ahead and log in to, https://www.gov.uk/apply-online-for-student-finance
Once you have done this, there will be some details you need to provide about the university you wish to attend and the course you will be studying as well as if you are going to be a part time or a full time student.
Next, you will need to provide your address as well as your bank details so that the money you need can actually be paid into your account.
This is probably the most important step, the system will ask for your parents individual details as the amount of finance you receive is decided by the salary of your parents. After your application Student Finance will contact your parents in which they will have to provide the relevant details about their finances.
Finally, once you have applied and it has been accepted – which can take around six weeks, you will receive a letter through the post dictating the amount of money you will receive for your maintenance loan as well as your tuition fee loan. Attached to this will be a declaration form which you must sign and send back to Student Finance to confirm that you will accept this money.
And that is pretty much it!! All you have to do now is wait until September for your money to roll in! If there is any questions do let me know!
