ICR Director, Professor James Renton, and Steering Group members, Dr Abubakar Bello and Dr Anna Bussu, have won an Edge Hill Research Investment Fund (RIF) Networks grant. The grant supports the development of a consortium for their research project on antisemitism and Islamophobia as interconnected issues in the context of the Palestine-Israel conflict.
Connecting Artificial Intelligence with restorative justice, victim support and relational racism studies, the project will monitor and combat both forms of racism. The consortium is preparing to apply for Horizon funding. The RIF grant contributes towards two consortium workshops, one at the University of Amsterdam, hosted by Professor Richard Rogers, and the other at Edge Hill University.
The consortium includes universities in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Romania, the Netherlands, and the UK.
